A man and woman were killed after a crash with a Jeep on the San Fernando Valley Freeway, police said Monday.
Officers responded to a report of a crash on the westbound lanes of the freeway about 7:30 a.m. local time.
When they arrived, they found a man and a woman who were dead, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
They were pronounced dead at the scene.
The two victims were identified as 27-year-old Jodi Romero of Long Beach, California, and 33-year of her 23-year old son, Michael Romero, who is in his 20s.
They have been identified as Daniel Romero of El Monte, California.
Police said the woman’s injuries were not life-threatening.
The man’s injuries weren’t life-changing, the release said.
